What is the purpose of job interview? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?

To see if the person is a fit for the job. People are different from paper. You can't hire someone off an application or a resume. What is the purpose of job interview? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
A job interview is a conversation between two people with similar but different goals to see how compatible these paradoxical goals are. When you go to a job interview, be friendly and open, but professional, and realize that you should be scoping them out just as much as they're scoping you out. If you don't get the job, it could have been a poor fit, anyway. Good luck! What is the purpose of job interview? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
I think job interviews are to put the person on the spot. To see how they react in tense situations and if they can talk intelligently and handle themselves well.

The potential employer uses the interview to pick the brains of the person they think they might want to hire.

Did you not know this??
getting know their interviewees.sometimes people are good in paper but not in communication skill. but, there is a person who is not good in academic but they got a talent in communication.believe me, there is nothing to fright off.just attend/do the interview.
To find out if you fit what they want and they can fit what agenda you have. It costs money to rehire they don't like spending it over and over.
